As Chief Executive Officer and founder of BETTERHOMES AG, Cyrill Lanz is Chairman of the international management board. He is responsible for international strategy and expansion, as well as ensuring consistent brand positioning and the continuous development of proprietary technology in all markets. As a member of the Board of Directors, he also heads up sales operations in the Swiss domestic market.
Cyrill Lanz began his professional career in the world of sales at the age of 18, where he quickly rose to the top management level in financial sales, earning multiple awards and learning the sales trade. When he switched to real estate sales, he first founded a real estate franchise company, developed its international franchise system and managed the Swiss market. After selling his shares, Cyrill Lanz founded the real estate agency BETTERHOMES AG in Zurich in autumn 2005. As a pioneer among real estate agents, he focused on a hybrid brokerage model combining proprietary technology and local expertise right from the start. Within a few years, he built the company into the largest independent real estate broker in Switzerland and successfully expanded into Germany and Austria.
After completing a commercial apprenticeship, Cyrill Lanz studied law at the University of Lucerne and went on to earn an MBA in General Management from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in 2011 and a Master's degree in Global Business from the University of Oxford in 2014.
